Frequently Asked Questions

Why do we need to change our facility?

A children's space that is divided and lacking security.

This renovation will provide one clear, easy-to-navigate check-in point that is ideal for new or current families at White River.

Confusing and hard-to-identify access points from the parking lot to the building.

A few clear entry points will be redesigned and made identifiable as access points so anyone can easily find their way from the parking lot to kids' check-in to a worship space.

A segregated facility that keeps our Hispanic attenders isolated and remote.

A brand new east lobby and additional parking will be added to the most visible part of our facility on 10th Street. More importantly, this new lobby will bring a fresh and healthy integration of our Hispanic congregation to others at White River.

Our Hamilton North location needs a permanent facility.

Property is purchased and renovation is starting for the opening of a new facility in downtown Arcadia. This will serve as a new ministry facility for Hamilton North.

What does it mean that the primary goal is 100% participation?

The challenge is for every single person at White River to take their next step in growing their faith through generosity - believing that if that happens - that generosity will provide everything God wants for White River. Every person - young or old, new on long-term attender - is given one simple challenge: Will you take your next step in generosity?

How does Transform impact our multi-site structure?

Every location is challenged equally so that 100% of White River participates, and every location is directly impacted with benefit from Transform work.

What does the term one-fund mean?

This means that during the two years of the Transform Initiative, we will be rolling all of our work - and all of our expenses - under one banner. Everything from our operating fund (e.g., funding our current programs, maintaining our facilities, supporting our local and global partners, paying staff, etc.) and the new initiatives (renovating our Noblesville and Arcadia facilities and supporting Missions of Hope International and Hands of Hope) will be combined into one budget. This reflects the way the money is actually spent, and it allows everyone to be involved in everything we do.

Are there ways for people to give with hands-on help?

Yes, please contact our team to ask when and how you can help.

What if I am new around here?

Anyone can join Transform at any time by simply giving.

Will the church have debt because of this project?

The intention is to add zero debt. The elder team has chosen to have a couple of key checkpoints in this process so adjustments can be made to the project if necessary. We want to avoid burdening the next generation rather than helping them.

What is the timeline for construction?

At Hamilton North

Construction was completed on Remnant, Hamilton North's permanent location, in June 2020.

In Noblesville

Construction was originally scheduled to begin in April of 2020, but Covid interrupted this plan. Church leaders have been praying and seeking God's direction on this piece of the Transform initiative.

How do we protect White River's DNA with this change?

We've committed to remain true to connecting every life to Jesus as our one, compelling mission. The expectation is that this work enhances this mission and does not change it.

What are you asking me to do?

First and foremost, pray for God's leading on what He is asking of you. Prepare your heart to hear Him, and then listen to what He says. Spend time in prayer and personal reflection with God. Have conversations with your spouse and your family about what this commitment will mean for this next season of you life. We are asking every person at White River to take his or her next step in generosity - whatever it is that God leads you to do. Follow His leading. Finally, we ask that you prepare to be amazed. It is an awesome God we serve. He is moving in huge ways, and we anticipate an unprecedented impact from our collective Transform commitments - something only God can do.
